Almighty God did not mention bravery in the Qur’an as the quality of fighters who are worthy of victory; steadfastness is frequently mentioned as the key to victory.

This was the main message of MILF Chairman Al Haj Murad Ebrahim to members of the General Staff of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) and men whom he met in an undisclosed location in Maguindanao recently.

Murad, who rarely appears in public or grants media interviews in months, was responding to a question why many comrades who were brave in confronting the enemy in the frontline but often left the MILF.
